nice price deal !!! sects third and final sampler for the >its all for you< compilation ends on a bittersweet note, seeing the last release from sect favourite grovskopa, who has decided to retire following the closest of near death experiences. the a-side features lags remix of his sect classic >atopic<, reworking the lurching bass and broken-beat rhythms of the original into a hypnotic number with a fractured synth melody. the b-side sees >62:02<, a brittle yet powerful track with churning bass which recalls drexciyas classically hard edged approach, combined with hazy orchestral sweeps - a fitting swansong for a great producer.

as ajello say:the idea for a cover version of n.o.i.a.s looking for love was born a couple of years ago - an idea of alessandro piatto, younger brother of davide piatto, original member of n.o.i.a. as soon as alessandro proposed it,we asked whether we could have the original tracks but, unfortunately,they have been lost over the years.immediately his brother davide brought together the original lineup of n.o.i.a.and locked them up in the studio to record the voice from scratch and some of the synth parts. our intervention was first on the drums, replacing the original for a more uptempo beat, and then the bassline, shaping it to a more modern sound. the vocals were treated with filters and echoes,and we also added some new guitar parts and synth lines. it was an honour to us, ajello, to bring to light an italo-disco classic that has really influenced us and we have put all our efforts to create a version that is timeless, as much as the original.

a delicious six-tracker from our man from a.n.t.w.e.r.p. featuring remixes from fulgeance, cubic animal and joash and even a smashing house tune by the man himself. tall glass of water kbonus takes it slow this time with >dance baby dance<, a ridiculously groovy slow jam featuring vocals by jtothec, destined to get things shaking around the barbie at garden parties around the globe this summer. fellow antwerp producer cubic animal keeps the tempo but adds some funky abstraction, while french beatmaker fulgeance cuts some minutes, toughens up the beat and throws in some arcade game sounds. british compost darling joash then jazzes up the tune with some fine drumming and double bass. bonus track >strength< is a mean house stomper for the wee small hours of the morning. now thats what we call a six-pack.

vladislav delays ep >espoo< features two new conceptual, rhythm-intense tracks. whereas the groove of the opener >olari< derives from a sound loop which is manipulated by filters and echoes and finally brings forth the intensifying beat, the reverse is done with >kolari< on the b-side. starting from an impulsive, staccato beat, a sound carpet is woven by means of modifiers which gradually shape a permanent vacation-like melody, close to terry rileys minimalistic concepts. both tracks share a linear increase in density, and because of their break with the common four-four time, they create a certain folkloric atmosphere. like with >vantaa<, the experienced music producer vladislav delay continues his search for dance-floor compatible, yet unique and fresh music.
